Production of C-11 Choline

A completely automated synthesis system for routine production of C-11 Choline by cartridge separation and purification. Using in-target produced Carbon dioxide, utilizing gas phase [11C]-CH3I reactions, high specific activity preparations of [11C]-CH3I are produced ranging from 15 Ci/┬Ámol to 50 Ci/┬Ámol when high purity target gas is used for [11C]-CO2 production.

On column methylation with CH3I is applied for the generation of C-11 Choline. Further cartridge purification and formulation yields in a fast and reliable production without the use of a Radio-HPLC.
