Synthra MeIplus Loop

Production of wide variety of Carbon-11 labeled compounds based on the generation of gas-phase C-11 methyl iodide or optional C-11 methyl triflate synthesis




The Synthra MeIplus Reaction loop is a completely automated synthesis system for routine production of several [11C]carbon tracer. The module is as simple as possible for less maintenance and a fast and easy production. It comes with five reagent vials with dead volume free connections to the valves. The reaction is performed in a stainless steel loop with heating and cooling function ( 196 °C 200 °C).

The module also has an integrated Radio-HPLC with fixed wavelength detector for separation with two separate solvent supply reservoirs and an additional solid phase extraction (SPE), isotonicity and pH adjustment and sterilization by filtration for reliable production and formulation of [11C]compounds with high specific activity.

The Unit also contains a filter integrity test capability according to GMP. After filtration of the final formulated radiopharmaceutical product, an automated pressure hold test, according to GMP, is performed at the sterile filter. The measuring procedure is monitored and graphically documented. The whole system is closed.
